Swing and French Doors
Swing doors are a common type of door widely used in residential. Commercial, and industrial settings. Our Swing door consist of a heavy-duty uPVC frame and with a large tempered glass panel in the middle. Operation is extremely easy, just requiring a push or pull to open and close. Swing doors can be used in various applications including entrances, interior rooms, closets and more. Our swing doors are also available in a French(Double door) style.
Parallel Tilt and Slide (PSK) Doors vs Lift and Slide Doors
It can be difficult when choosing which sliding door is right for you. While both styles have similar offerings, it is important to understand the differences so you can make an informed decision.
PSK doors slide parallel to the wall, and can also securely tilt inwards for ventilation like our windows. They are better suited for medium sized openings, and typically have smaller frames compared to lift and slide doors. They are easily operated by turning the handle 90° into one of three positions; closed, tilt, and slide. When in slide position, the door swings out at the bottom in a motion similar to a minivan door. Even a door or sash that weighs up to 440 pounds can easily be operated using only one hand.
Lift and Slide doors are also extremely easy to operate. Simply turn the handle to engage the lift function, which disengages the compression gaskets and slightly lifts the door over the track. Once in position, the door can smoothly and easily glide along the track, even with heavier panels. Once you close the door, the compression gaskets engage again, providing a tight and secure seal. These doors are generally better for larger openings and can accommodate bulkier and heavier panels as they are typically bigger than PSK doors, with larger sightlines and a thicker frame, required for the lifting mechanism.
